P R O D U C T S & N E W S F O R P R O F E S S I O N A L C A T E R E R S intro Welcome Thank you for your interest in catersource Magazine, Americas leading and only independently audited
national trade publication for professional caterers. Catering in the United States is a $20 billion industry, and one of the hottest foodservice markets today.
Catersource Magazine explores all aspects of catering, from front-of-the-house to back-of-the-house, and
delivers the latest education, products and industry news in each issue. Our target audience includes
professional caterers with purchasing power who operate successful on-premise, off-premise and non-
commercial foodservice operations from coast to coast. A note about our president As the nations foremost educator on the art and science of catering, Michael Roman knows all the ins and
outs of the industry. Starting in his familys Chicago catering business, Michael experienced the daily
challenges and rewards of managing a catering company for 15 years. He produced everything from simple
box lunches to corporate galas for thousands of guests. This invaluable hands-on experience, plus 15 years
of teaching at the Culinary Institute of America, helped Michael start CaterSource, a consulting and
education support company, in 1992. A national speaker, author and founder of the annual catersource Conference & Tradeshow, Michael also
produced CaterSource Journal, a publication that has served as an indispensable reference tool for caterers.
In October 2003, CaterSource Journal was completely transformed and expanded into catersource
Magazine . Today, catersource Magazine leads and supports Americas professional caterers and the catering industry as a whole. Readership Catersource Magazine readers have enormous buying power. Catersource can help your company or client
connect with some of the top producing companies in the world including ARAMARK, Bon Appetit,
Sodexho, Compass and Walt Disney World. In addition to being presented to multi-million-dollar social and
corporate caterers from coast-to-coast, your advertising message will go to university catering divisions of
all sizes, such as Rutgers, UCLA, Penn State and Stanford, as well as to the catering divisions of major-
market casinos, hospitals and healthcare centers, grocers and delis, theme parks and cruise lines. Partnerships Our newest partnership is with Event Solutions, a national trade magazine serving the event and meeting
planning industry. Catersource Magazine has established successful partnerships with the ICA (International
Caterers Association), FoodService Director magazine and the IMCEA (International Military Community
Executives Association). Your advertising and marketing dollars go further with catersource. Circulation Catersource Magazine is the nations largest catering-specific trade publication,
distributing 25,000 copies six times a year (seven in 2008) free of charge to
qualified on-premise, off-premise and non-commercial food-service professionals.
